I'm writing this blog post from the road in Boston hours before UFC 118. The team arrived in Boston Wednesday morning after a very long redeye flight from San Diego to Philly, and then Philly to Boston.
UFC 118 - Check the pics.
I've been all over recently and getting quite a bit of exposure being acontent partner with the UFC.com. I'm going to update you with several UFC and WEC galleries, including some of my Strikeforce shots from my first ever top tier MMA promotion cageside as well. I've been all over the map, literally....
Here is Randy Couture looking very majestic.
James Toney is fighting Randy Couture on 8.28.2010. Toney has been making outlandish and baseless claims that boxing is "better" than MMA and the UFC. It's very hard to get behind an opinion like that without an explanation of their perspective. To my knowledge, James Toney hasn't provided any real explanation as to why one is better than the other, and when asked about it, he gets very heated and produces a slur of unintelligible grunts and hoots. These retorts are what I believe to be his arguement. Point taken Mr. Toney.
Here are a few shots from the weigh in events. A few of my fond ones.
BJ Penn expresses his own iconic Hawaiian salute.
Trouble on the scale - Hey, it happens.
Randy Couture tosses his hat to the crowd.
Gabe Ruediger comes in 1 pound lighter than his opponent, Joe Lauzon. Joe put together a mock video about Gabe's weight due to some issues during the Ultimate Fighter show, 4 years ago.
Gabe made a cake the reads "Sorry for your loss".
Finally, I'll leave you with a preview of an upcoming post where I follow Gabe Ruediger for his weight cut at UFC 118 where he cuts weight to 155 lbs.
